Ground Plane Supported Devices

Hi all

I'm excited about Ground Plane. However I only have HTC U11 which is not on Ground Plane supported devices list.

I followed "Introduction to Ground Plane in Unity" guide and built a simple demo apk. It doesn't seem to work on HTC U11.  I was wondering that it is the hardware of HTC U11 doesn't feed the requirement of Vuforia Ground Plane or just HTC U11 hasn't been tested and it's blocked by supported devices list?

If it's the device hasn't been tested and it's blocked by supported devices list,

I wish I could know if there is any way to try Ground Plane on HTC U11 earlier before it shows up on list?

Thanks

We have been waiting for ground detection on Android. Now that it is here we are a little confused why  Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge  is in the device list but the  S6 Edge+ is not... and is indeed not working with  Unity 2017.3 Patch 2.

Hello

Will Huawei P20 be on the list of supported devices?

Thank you

Hi,

I write this here, maybe someone else is also interested.

Huawei P20 has the required device hardware mentioned by vuforia, but the ground plane is not supported.

Hello Vuforia Support,

Thanks for the links of the Vuforia Fusion Supported Devices list! It is possible to add a date when this list was updated?

This is a good suggestion. I will open a ticket to have this added.

Actually, this should not be an issue for you. Vuforia Fusion supports ARCore, and the OnePlus 6 is an ARCore supported device: https://developers.google.com/ar/discover/supported-devices. Thus, Ground Plane should be enabled on this device when ARCore is installed.

hi , i download the vuforia core samples and build it on my huawei mate 20 pro which is in the officially supported device list, but it still shows the message "unsupported device" ,can you give me some advice on how to solve it?

Hi @zq666,

Could you please confirm me the model number?

Also when building for the phone, make sure that under Vuforia Configuration->Android Settings: ARCore Requirement is set to REQUIRED or OPTIONAL and that Include ARCore library is checked.

Hi, there.

I am also interested in ground plane feature. Right now I can deploy your sample app on my friend's samsung s8+(not on my HTC U11+). But I still have some questions.

I have this smartphone:

I would like to know if it is possible to just test this device to include it in the list of devices supported by Vuforia Fusion.

Thanks!
