How to get detected plane sizes?

February 22, 2018 - 8:43am #1

Is there a way to get detected plane size? What I wish it to detect some surface (like table, chair, floor) plane and fit content according to it's size. I checked all docs but didn't find any useful info about it. Is it possible at all?

Hello,

Vuforia does not provide a 1:1 mapping with ARCore/ARKit APIs. Thus, some features of those platform CV solutions may not be supported by Vuforia.

Thanks,

Does anyone know how to do this yet or if it's even possible with the latest Vuforia 7.5.26?

Even I am curious to this. I need a way to know that the detected plane is too small and not spawn the object on it. Does Vuforia have something similar to ARPlaneAnchor that ARKit has ? If not is there anyway to predefine the required size of plane ?

Would also be nice to define the absolute size of the useable ground plane as well...

Size of the ground plane and scale of objects tied to it should be independent, but definable dynamically.

Does that already exist and just hasn't been documented yet?
