I'm having trouble placing a model (character with real human scale) at a specific position in the real world room. The position should never change.
I'm using Unity3d 2018.3 and the latest Vuforia version (8.0).
I read about a way to achieve this:
- I first let the user search for a ground plane and then scan an image tracker that is fixed on the floor
- when the image tracker is scanned the model will be activated and parented to the ground plane object
However when I do this my model is floating in the air instead of standing on the ground. The ground plane itself is working good when I run an example project by vuforia.
Is it enough to change the parent object?
I have enabled the advanced device tracking.
Is my solution valid or is there any other approach?
Thank you for any advice :)
