In Unity Play Mode my 3d Model Blocks Camera View

I have a strange issue. 

I am creating an Vuforia Unity Application for iOS. I am developing on a PC and will port final code to a Mac for Xcode compile. My issue is when I test my simple application in Play Mode a portion of the 3D Model that is a child of the Ground Plane is showing on screen. Not the whole model just a portion. The application is very simple, it is just a Camera, Plane Finder and Ground Plane. 

When I hit Play the AR Camera is already showing part of the model like it does in the little preview window inside Unity. It takes up the top half of the screen and my camera image shows up on the bottom. It makes acquiring the printed emulator image very difficult. If I can detect the image the model on top does disappears and the true model is placed like it should be.

I noticed this is not happening in the more complex sample program that you can download on the Unity Asset store but that has a bunch of extra code and actually disables the models till they are placed. I don't need all that.

In case anyone is interested I solved this by using DeployStageOnce script found in the example.
