I try to port my AR demo app to HoloLens. It is Unity project and works on Android currently. Of course I use the same target. But my target which is recognized well running on Android smartphones or tablets is not recognized on HoloLens. Target manager gives just two starts for my target. But it still work well for Android and for HoloLens is not recognized at all. If I substitute my target with target from the Vuforia demo (chips in particular) then it works fine. So it seems to me that recognition rate in Vuforia for HoloLens is significantly less then for Android.
I have played with target
I have played with target picture and have made it rated 5 stars by target manager. And still Vuforia doesn't recognize it on HoloLens. Are there some additional tricks need to be done on target image for HoloLens?
Has anybody tried something
Has anybody tried something other than Vuforia sample for HoloLens? I mean own image targets. It doesn't recognize mine 5 stars image targets. Seems to me it doesn't work at all besides targets from sample.
I took the picture from
I took the picture from Vuforia SDK for Android example for cylindrical target "Soda". 5 starts on target manager. Vuforia for HoloLens doesn't recognize it. Even picture from example (which means designed to be recognized with good rate). Something strange is here.
Could somebody from Vuforia
Could somebody from Vuforia explain this phenomenon please? I took exactly "chips" picture from sample code, submitted to the target manager, downloaded and used in the same sample HoloLens project instead of preset one. And it doesn't work! Same "chips" picture!
I'm sorry. It was my bad. I
I'm sorry. It was my bad. I totally forgot about database loading and activation.
Now everything works fine. Sorry again.
