Disable Vuforia tracking if target found

September 29, 2016 - 4:43am #1

Hey guys,

using Vuforia and HoloLens, is there a way to let HoloLens do all the tracking from the moment Vuforia found a target?

For each of my image targets individually.

Thanks

Hi,

I tried the same by doing ARcamera.getComponent<VuforiaBehaviour>().enable = false.

It doesn't work for me, the object shows for a frame and immediately disappers.

I would like to do this too - I am interested in using Vuforia Targets purely as static alignment targets for the AR objects being positioned in the world.

The alignment targets I will use are assumed to be static once found. Accuracy of target aquistion and object placement is the priority, rather than continual target tracking.

I realise we can kind of do this by enabling 'extended tracking', finding the Target, then quickly removing the target from view. This leaves the AR object in position and Hololens takes over, but it requires a 'slight of hand' trick by the user and is prone to object shift as the target is removed from view.
