Hello,
I'm working for some time with Hololens, I've implemented logic for it but I'm facing some problems with Vuforia and VuMark systems.
First problem is with VuMark.
- When I scan a VuMark and detect it the gameObject (unity3d) appears behind it (like 1.5 meter distance or even far), partial fix is that I increased the Scale of the gameObject and give's the feeling that is not that far (But this approach breaks the Hololens DefaultCursor prefab, more details a bit below)
* My question for Vuforia is, how did they manage to show that example on youtube with Vumark and the item is in front and not behind? I didn't see any example of that in the samples, more or less.
Second Problem
- How can I stop updateting the position and rotation of the GameObject once I successfully scan a VuMark?
* My workaround for this is that I moved the child from VuMark added on Scene and on DefaultTrackableEventHandler, I added a boolean onTrackingFound that when I scan the VuMark I get the position of it and set it to the gameObject. But isn't there some other way? Because I get back to my first problem with distance
Third problem
- Hololens Cursor (DefaultCursor.prefab) just falls when I use Vuforia/VuMark or goes somewhere else, does Vuforia/VuMark have an Cursor that I could use? Or did someone faced the same problem? * When I did a workaround at first problem by using Scale, the cursor looks very small (most probably because of the scale) so I'm trying to find a different approach..
So yes, did someone faced with this problems ? Did someone manage to fixed them or use a different approach?
Thank you
The first problem
The first problem
I've fixed with a workaround, I'm assuming that when OnTrackFound() is Triggered I place the gameObject in front of the camera at a specific distance. By using the code below
Someone from Vuforia who
Someone from Vuforia who experienced with Hololnes could give us some tips or working example?

The solution, for anyone who
The solution, for anyone who's reading and has the same problem I did, measure the VuMark/Image twice, three times and make sure the Width of image is the right one. And keep in mind that it measures in Meters.
P.S
Hi
Hi
I have the same issue with holograms. They are much behind the marker and they are much bigger than it should be (i have this problem with image target).
I would love to have some respons from vuforia developer
Hi!
Hi!
Does anyone found a solution for the holograms appearing behind the marker?
About a week ago I started learning to work with unity, hololens and vuforia so I don't know much about the theme.
I use unity3d 5.5.2f1 and vuforia 6.2.10 with ImageTargets.
