Hello!
We are making an AR app for training first-aid givers with the 1st gen Hololens, and as such we have a need to track the resuscitation doll as a model target. the doll (picture attached) however is a pretty difficult model target to track for a few reasons -
- head and limbs are deformable.
- "skin" is shiny and lacking in features.
- client wants the dummy to be mounted on a Stretcher at the end of the scenerio (adaptive target), therefor - further deformation is likely.
As you can see in the picture, i tried disassembling the limbs from the doll and scanned him this way, as to remove the variable limbs.
Thing is - i managed to successfully track the doll with the Model Target Test App on my Samsung Galaxy S20+, multiple times with great accuracy, and even in the editor in Play mode using a webcam a couple of times, but not even once with the headset when i built it...
I Tried a few different model targets, tried both STATIC and ADAPTIVE modes, but nothing seem to work...
I Am using unity version 2019.4.17f1, Vuforia version 9.6.4, working with the new XR SDK and MRTK version 2.5.3 and a first gen Hololens.
Thanks in advance if you can help!
