Hi all, I've built a simple Vuforia app to recognize an image target and pop up a hologram (somewhat based on this tutorial https://www.sitepoint.com/how-to-build-an-ar-android-app-with-vuforia-and-unity/). I've done this successfully in an Android app using the same image target as well as object targets.
When I run the app in HL, it doesn't do anything when I look at the image printout. Does anyone have ideas of what I should double check? I've followed the instructions on integrating Vuforia with HL (https://library.vuforia.com/articles/Training/Developing-Vuforia-Apps-for-HoloLens), e.g. enabled extended tracking, set up the eyewear type, linked ARCamera to HoloLensCamera. What would be stopping this from working?? I've tried rebuilding the app many times using different versions of the assets, too...
I'm using Unity 5.5.0f3, the latest version of Vuforia from Unity Asset Store, and the latest packaged release of the HoloToolkit from GitHub. Also, can someone confirm that the "Digital Eyewear" option for getting a license key no longer exists?
Hello,
Hello,
I can confirm that with the 6.2 Vuforia release license keys have been unified. There is no longer a concept of mobile key or eyewear key.
Thanks.
Great, that answers part of
Great, that answers part of my question, but I'm still having issues. I'll retry the HoloLens sample and see if I can get that working...
Did you managed to get it
Did you managed to get it working? I seem to be having the same problem.
I'm having a similar problem.
I'm having a similar problem. I can confirm the Vuforia Sample found here https://developer.vuforia.com/downloads/samples works correctly. I can see the teapot and manipulate its position with my image in the real world.

Hi All
Hi All
I have the same Problem as you.
I recognized one big different when I run the Sample or my Project:
The LED (HoloLens is filming) is off during my project and on during the sample?
Can somebody prove that?

Same problem. Wish I could be of help. I've tried sooo many things, and went over every setting I could find. I've tried every tutorial I could find online to see if I'm missing a setting.

I'm a little closer to getting something to work.
I just noticed that it's my webcam (!) and not my Hololens that is doing the image detection!
When the image is recognized (by the webcam!), I can get a particle system (that is a child of the ImageTarget) to play.
Anyone find a way around this
Anyone find a way around this problem? I've got to believe other people are having the same problem as me, that the computer's webcam is used instead of the Hololens camera.
Hey,guys i have solved this
