Prefabs displayed not on top of the Image Target

May 23, 2017 - 4:41am #1

As the title says, using Vuforia Hololens sample I tried to test how Image Target works in Hololens. However, the result that I got is not what I expected. The prefab is displayed but it is not attached to the Image Target (printed image on paper and placed on top of the table) but displayed a bit under the paper (like drowned inside the table).  How do I make the prefab model "stick" to the Image Target as I designed it on Unity?

Ok, I tried to create a new project without importing the Hololens sample. The prefab was displayed although it was instantiated far away from the Image Target. I tried to put the same prefab into the sample project (thus changing the teapot) and it displays closely with the Image Target which is better. I already set the same configuration for both the Image Target (width, height, etc) and the prefab itself.

Is there something that I missed?

Hello,

Make sure that the printed target's size matches exactly what appears in the Image Target prefab's Inpsector window, for the Database and Image Target selected (see attached). Vuforia uses meters as its default scene unit, so if you're using our sample app and targets, the size is in meters.

Thanks.
