Vuforia initialization failed

I had a demo working a few months ago, but installing that build no longer functions with the error: "Vuforia initialization failed"

I've confirmed my license type as digital eyewear and also tried with a new license without a stated type.

Is there a reason an old build should no longer function?

Depends upon the version of the SDK you're using. Early builds with HoloLens support were created with limited lifespans as they were part of an early release program. Commercial releases do not have this limitation.
