EmitterLayer Not Working

April 16, 2013 - 2:50pm #1

I'm lanching a uiviewcontroller after capturing an image with the CloudReco scanner.  The view controller includes a subview with a CAEmitterLayer which I include in a separate view.  When run independently, the emitter layer is spectacular.  When run in the view controller which is a modal view to the CRParentViewController nothing happens.

I'm trying to determine what to disable in the Vuforia CloudReco demo to enable this effect.

EmitterLayer Not Working

I am not exactly sure of the problem you are describing.

However it seem you are saying that when you transition from CRParentViewController to a ViewController that contains a view that contains particles that use CAEmitterLayer, they do not show.

I am not sure that Vuforia would be the source of the problem.

The attached pictures show that I was able to achieve exactly this within the basic Storyboard framework that I have outlined elsewhere in this forum.  Although the code is not perfect, it does demonstrate the transition back and forth between the particle view controller and the cloud reco view controller.
