FOCUS_MODE_CONTINUOUSAUTO seems really jerky in Vuforia 7?

Has anyone else noticed this? In Vuforia 6, FOCUS_MODE_CONTINUOUSAUTO seemed pretty smooth, but now in Vuforia 7, it can't settle on a target. This is probably related to the fact that my use case involved having markers located on an uneven, curved surface, but it seems like a bug that the performance would get worse from 6 to 7.
