Image from Image Target

March 11, 2019 - 4:15pm #1

Hello everyone,

I'm working on a iOS project with Vuforia and more specificity the User Defined Targets.

From what I can see in the sample app when the user presses the camera button an image target is created.

In the method:

- (void)renderFrameWithState:(const Vuforia::State &)state projectMatrix:(Vuforia::Matrix44F &)projectionMatrix

I was able to extract the unique ID for the created ImageTargetResult

const Vuforia::ImageTarget& imageTarget = ((Vuforia::ImageTargetResult *)result)->getTrackable();

const char *targetID = imageTarget.getUniqueTargetId();

but is there a way to get an image from it? I need the image that was used for the creation of that image target. Is it stored somewhere remotely and I can access it via API or is it stored locally on the device and I can access it directly?

Thank you,

Petar

Thank you for the reply. I found what I was looking for. The image I needed was in the Vuforia::State after I set Vuforia::setFrameFormat(Vuforia::RGB888, true);

Hello,

Unfortunately, due to the dynamic nature of UDT targets, no preview image exists as this would be created through the authoring workflow on the Target Manager.

One idea is to capture a camera image at the same time that the UDT target is created.

Thanks,
