Incorrect distortion

Hi there

I'm using Vuforia 5.5.9, Unity 5.3.4f1, and an iPhone 4s with iOS 8.2, and out of the box, the ARVR mixed reality sample in viewer mode looks like the attached. The same sample works fine on Android and in play mode in the editor, with nice symmetrical left and right views. Does anyone know what could be causing this on the iPhone?

Could you attach a screenshot of your DigitalEyewearBehaviour script component settings in the Inspector panel?

I'm completely out of ideas on this one now. Could really use some help if there's anyone from Vuforia on here. It's like the resolution of the device is not being picked up correctly by Vuforia and as a result it's generating the wrong projection matrices, but that's just a guess and after spending two days searching and playing with code, I don't know if its even on the right track. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone? Is it possible that this is how it's supposed to look on that device? I would have expected it to be more like the image below.
