IOS 10 - Native from Scratch

October 18, 2017 - 9:02am #1

Hey there-

I am working on a native app under ios 10; and the client now wants to add vuforia pieces to the app. I have gone through the get started process of creating an app from the sample projects...but haven't found a guide on how to add vuforia capability to an existing app project. My existing project is huge & I've tried importing it into my working vuforia demo...and also tried importing the demo into the big project...without any luck. Doesn't want to compile, missing headers, etc.

What is the proper way? HELP ME OBI-WAN!!!

Hello pt,

Sorry for the delay in my response. In case you're still working on this, you'll need to do two things to get the Vuforia SDK working in your XCode project. The first is to add the libVuforia.a library file that is in the SDK download into your project's General -> Linked Frameworks and Libraries. Second, under Build Settings -> Search Paths, modify the "Header Search Paths" field to point to build/include and the "Library Search Paths" to point to build/lib/arm (these are two directories included in the SDK download). With these all included in your project, you should be good to go for using Vuforia in your project.
