iOS 8 - Video playback frame rate

October 30, 2014 - 7:57pm #1
Hello,

I refer to this guide.

I made a project using the videoplayback-3-0-10.unitypackage.
I have applied the contents that are described in this guide.
Video is no longer being played in my project.

I confirmed the Xcode log.

"PlayerLoop called recursively! "

This character was displayed repeatedly.

Help me please

Not sure what you might be doing wrong,

but, if you start from the VideoPlayback sample "as is", all you need to do is to add this line of code in the createFrameTimer method:

- (void)createFrameTimer
{
    // Add this line to ensure that
    // the video frame timer is updated at the expected rate
    [[NSThread currentThread] setThreadPriority:0.5];
    ...

And then rebuild following the instructions here:

https://developer.vuforia.com/forum/ios/ios-8-video-playback-frame-rate

Please note that we have updated those instructions recently (as you can see, it is now only a matter of adding a single line of code in the sample)

Thank you for the reply.

I was coding as of your advice.
Video can not be played, but the sound was played.

I confirmed the Xcode logs but did not change.

"PlayerLoop called recursively!"

Please check the more up-to-date instructions in this Sticky notice:

https://developer.vuforia.com/forum/ios/ios-8-video-playback-frame-rate

We tested these verbatim on both the native and the Unity versions of the VideoPlayback samples.
