iOS build crashes when running UDT example scene

Hi,

I downloaded the User Defined Target Example scene from the samples project. It works great in unity, but upon building and running on my iPhone, it crashes right away.

 

I can give you more of the errors in the console if you need them, but here is the last console log before it crashes:

/BuildRoot/Library/Caches/com.apple.xbs/Sources/Metal/Metal-85.83/ToolsLayers/Debug/MTLDebugRenderCommandEncoder.mm:950: failed assertion `For color attachment 0, the renderPipelineState pixelFormat must be MTLPixelFormatInvalid, as no texture is set.' 

It seems to be something with the graphics, and I'm trying to figure out if it could be some of the preset UI elements in the example project that could be causing it. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to proceed?

You need to change the scheme:

Here's a workaround to do in Xcode:

Product -> Scheme -> Edit Scheme...

Disable "Metal API Validation"
