The front camera being flipped is an issue that has been fixed in Vuforia 7.2.

In all of my tests, after switching back from the front camera to the back camera I am still able to detect targets. Are you testing this in the samples? Do you see any error messages in the logs?

Are you seeing this on all devices? Which iOS version are you seeing this on? Have you upgraded to 7.1.34 in Unity 2018.1?

I've tried rotating the (video)plane.

Works in the editor but not on the iPhone same for changing the camera matrix
