Loading dynamically .h(3D Model) from web-server without The unity

there is another way to load .h file from server to render the 3D model at the runtime or load .h file that I want to renter to my iPhone in order to only render these 3D model in my iPhone without using the Unity Pro. If it's possible, How to do that?

You need to weigh up the additional costs for Unity against doing the following yourself:

  • identify a 3d binary format for export and import
  • build a loader to support such a format
  • write a mini layer to support client/server push pull for these and synchronisation
  • build an OpenGL ES layer that can display such models
  • add any necessary code for interacting with the models

This will easily take a few months.

How long will it take for you to prototype in this in Unity, where this is already provided?

Hi,

I am interested in this as well.

I understand that the 3D models need to be exported to OpenGL (.h header files), however I am in a situation where the content will be pushed to the app periodically, so it would be impossible to compile these models with the app.

I have read that this is possible using Unity, however, this would further complicate my project and add more costs.

Thanks in advance
