I’m a computer science student and have up to this point focused on Java/Python programming. I’m very interested in the world of mobile development - particularly iOS - and have recently stumbled upon an idea that I think would make sense for my first app. I’m a learn-by-experience person, but have been watching the popular Stanford Swift development course on iTunes. Essentially, my app needs to store almost exclusively text data for each user. (User as in app-user I don’t actually want to implement a user-system with sign in or anything). I know there are many ways to store simple text data locally on device, but I’d like to have it on a server somewhere and be pulled down to the app & cached. I haven’t dealt much with server-side stuff and databases, but I do know the basics. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to begin or possibly suggested routes I can take? A side-note to consider is that I would LIKE to have the ability to expand to include video files along with the text data eventually, so if there is a solution with possible expansion in that direction, that would be awesome (but not a huge deal).
Thanks
