New to vuforia, I need some directions

Hi all!

I'm new at vuforia. I want to start developing some iOS apps with AR. I alrady installed the sdk, downloaded the examples and run the examples. I also read and understood the developer workflow section (Device Database or Cloud Database) and Vuforia SDK Architecture.

But now I want to start a brand new app, so I created a new iOS project and was looking to found a tutorial or something like that but I found nothing. I really have no idea how to start with the code. I just want to create a simple app and then start growing from that.

I went to the integrate Vuforia -> Native SDK, but that seems to be java for android stuff. I really don't even now how to create a new project, what frameworks I'm going to need and all that stuff.

Can someone give me some advice on how to go on from here? I'm completely lost.

Hi AndresArg,

Your best bet is to try and build/extend one of the samples in the first instance as this will give you some confidence and understanding of Vuforia, plus it will help you become familiar with the code.

Once you have done this then you can look to building/appending it into your code.

The exact path you take depends on what you want to achieve, and the above steps  will help you refine your requirements

As an example, some people simply want a basic Image Target app, while others just want to reskin the VideoPlayback sample.

As an aside, its much easier to use in Unity, so be sure to examine this option as it will save you many weeks of effort.
