OpenGL ES 2.0 light

May 28, 2012 - 9:05pm #1

Does anyone have an example on how to implement a light source under OpenGL ES 2.0 for the ImageTargets sample?
Also, is there any way to setup a reflective material to the 3D objects?

Thanks!

Hmmm...now I think about it -and read a bit more- is this tutorial for OpenGL ES 2.0? or 1.1? I'm trying to figure this out for 2.0...and I'm working on an iOS project :)

Thanks David!
It seems the tutorial you told me about will help me out big time.
Just one thing, do you know where it is that I have to use this? I figured it would be EAGLView.m, but I can't seem to make this work.
As soon as I add the first line -glEnable(GL_LIGHTING);- I get either a GL Error or my 3D object with a black background (no image from the camera).

Best
Juan

This one discusses reflective materials towards the end - http://www.falloutsoftware.com/tutorials/gl/gl8.htm
