OverlayViewController using XIB

February 27, 2012 - 11:37pm #1

Hi there,

I have successfully integrated the imageTargets functionality into my existing project, so I can press a button on my view in the storyboard and have it launch the camera and show the teapot etc.

When I tap the screen I want a HUD style interface to come up with controls to change the teapot orientation and also a button to close the ARParentViewController and return to the rest of the app. I want to create these controls in a XIB. Can I do this?

If so, is OverlayViewController the XIB's files owner or is it ARParentViewController?

I tried adding a button to the screen programmatically in the showOverlay method of OverlayViewController in place of the action sheet but the button wouldn't appear.

Thanks in advance for your help! This SDK is super cool and I'm enjoying playing around with it!!

try this:

https://developer.vuforia.com/forum/ios/intergrating-imagetargets-tabbed-app

basically we still have the link problem, however if you search with "intergrating-imagetargets-tabbed-app" it should yield the location within the new forums.

Hi I was just wondering if you managed to sort the issue below as I am having this also.

I want to make an AR application based on the ImageTargets app that has more than one view so I can have a home page type thing for the users and for the look of the previous posts on here you have done this before possibly (i'm hoping) with the tutorial that is posted on here.

Thanks,

Harry

I got same problems,,,

I was looking for some thing like your example for a while many thanks, but i have the following issues.

I tried your example but it keeps give me this error
Use of undeclared identifier 'app' in EAGLView.mm

- (void) hView {
     [app hideView];
}

- (void) sView {
     [app showView];
}

also the following error in the same file
No viable conversion from 'id' to 'CGRect'

CGRect rect = [self calcScreenCoordsOf:target inView:&modelViewMatrix.data[0] inPose:trackable->getPose()];

Hey thanks! I was able to use your sample along with the Dominoes app to rig something up.
