Without using unity3d(i mean only using the qcar sdk) is it possible to replace the teapot image by some other 3d image in image targets app? Where does the teapot is getting called in the image targets app?

Hi - look for the teapot's 3D coordinates defined in teapot.h.

Qualcomm AR SDK provides a toolset that allows the developer to implement Augmented 3D solutions. It interfaces with the 3D solution that you implement, with examples provided to show how using the OpenGL standard implemented within iOS or with Unity, a gamer's development toolkit.

How the 3D models are implemented or loaded is outside the scope of the support we can give. If you use Unity to build your app, it does provide support for many 3D file types.

Other developers may be able to assist you here, and there are many good resources out there on the web showing you how - see Jeff Lamarche's blog on iOS and 3D here:
