Resize image before image recognition process

February 28, 2017 - 4:16am #1

Hi,

We are trying to track targeted images on front camera live video capturing. We have noticed that when distance of targeted images are greater, Vuforia can't detect them, but when they becomes shorter, they can be detected.

I wanna ask that is it possible to resize camera captured images before image processing on vuforia? I mean, we will make camera image bigger 3-4 times and pass to image processing.

Thanks

Mehmet

Image scaling is not as easy as one can think. Thanks for the article! Fort those who are interested in the topic follow the links https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image_scaling or one can find some useful info on resizing here https://macphun.com/luminar/resize-image

Hello,

Please review the following article for recommendations on maximizing Vuforia's tracking performance: https://library.vuforia.com/articles/Best_Practices/Recommendations-for-Improving-Target-Detection-and-Tracking-Stability

In order to insure optimal performance across all supported device platforms, Vuforia does not support accessing camera frames before processing.

Thanks
