Restrict the area in which Vuforia SDK is looking for targets

Is it possible to restrict the searching for IR targets to only a certain part of the camera's field of view?

 

We are building an iOS app that has an IR feature, which starts the camera on full screen. We need to make vuforia SDK look for targets only in the middle area of the screen, instead of the hole area that the camera captures (the video feed must stay at full screen, i.e. scaling the video feed down is not an option ). At the moment vufora SDK detects targets that are even outside of what we see in the camera feed screen, which is an even bigger issue for our project.
