Simulator not working because of Vuforia SDK

April 13, 2015 - 2:01am #1

I try to test my Apple Watch implementation, but the SDK from Vuforia is not ready for simulator usage. What is the best way to resolve this issue for my debug builds?

Afaik, the Apple Watch application consists of 2 main parts; the WatchKit app (running on the Apple Watch and or the simulator) and the Extension which is part of the iOS App;

according to this thread:

https://mkswap.net/m/blog/How+to+debug+an+iOS+app+while+the+WatchKit+app+is+currently+running+in+the+simulator

it should be possible to Debug the iOS App by Attaching a running process explicitly; this should also allow to select a running process (for the Extension part)  on an iOS device.

That's is not really a option for me. How am I supposed to test my Apple Watch Applications then?

Vuforia (as of today) simply does not support the iOS Simulator; you need to build / run / debug in Xcode using a real iOS device USB-connected to your Mac
