So many changes, but no new version

October 29, 2014 - 1:15am #1

Dear Vuforia develper team,

we are developing with Unity for iOS and Android. As you know, there are alot of changes since iOS 8, 8.1 and Unity 4.5.5 and you released a lot of sticky notes, with all the steps to fix: Exporting issues in Xcode, Camera access in iOS 8, video playback performance and so on. Why not just releasing a new version (3.0.10?) of the entire plugin for Unity and iOS. It would be awesome to have a stable version with all the fixes included? Are you working on this (cause you have the solutions already delivered in your sticky notes)?

Thanks for your effort,

Carsten Cyliax

I have downloaded the ideoplayback sample code for IOS. I face issues in orientation. Whn is set orientation as PORTRAIT i don see any issues in any of the devices.

When i run in Landscape , the Black Bar appears in Ipadmini Retina . Can you please let me know the issues and also if anythin is missed in part of SDK

Thanks IN Advance!!

If I had to guess, I would roughly think in terms of between a few weeks and a few months timeframe.  Sorry, but I can't be more precise than that.

Thank you, that is good to know.

I know it is not easy to be exact about these things but do you have any idea if it will be in the near future, like November maybe, or some time next year?

Yes please release a new version that actually works!

The thing I liked about Vuforia was how it just worked right out of the box. Surely there must be a new release on it's way, right?
