Target with Model and NO UNITY. Need Help

I have searched for months with no tutorial on how to target recognition with a 3D model on top of the target without using Unity. I have got this to work with unity fine but most of the AR stuff I get asked to do is intergrated into already made prjoects so I would rather do it all native. I see in the project where they import the models in textures in the EAGL file but what do I import the 3D model as? What do I import the texture for tracking as? Where do I align/scale the two? Is there any tuturials anywhere out there??? All I see is ones for unity based AR and how to import the needed files into iOS, nothing on how to do your own app all in iOS.

I know unity is by far way easier for this so maybe does anyone have any good ways to import they unity AR into an existing project either? Please help!
