Technical requirements for 3d models

 

I'm working on unity iOs with the vuforia extension. I'm trying to display 3d models of buildings and bridges on markers like the imageTraget sample project.

 

I would like to know what 3d model I can display on my markers, I tried with an FBX model of a house but when I exported it to xCode and executed it the app crashed.

 

Would you please tell me, or provide a link, about info on supported models; extension, size or any other properties. So I know when I take a model it will show when I point the iPad to the marker.

I've done a lot of research but I didn't find any satisfactory information, your help would be appreciated, thank you Image removed..

Xcode version 4.3

 

Unity 3.5.2 with iOs plugin

 

iPad 2, iOs 5

 

Hi Bayram,

I am not quite sure I understand.

Basically any model you have in Unity is displayed by Unity, not by QCAR.

Have you tried any other models e.g. maybe some that come with the Unity samples?  There is no reason these should not work.

There is a user here who has had the same performance in Unity / QCAR with a model containing 50,000 and 200,000 vertices
