It seems I'm in a bit of a pickle.
Vuforia does not run in the simulator. Fine, I have to run it on the iPhone directly.
Ok, but my only iPhone is a 5S, which is 64-bit.
When I select it as my target, Xcode won't build Vuforia, because it's missing arm64.
Does anyone know a way to get Xcode to build a 32-bit version for an iPhone 5S target?

You can build your app with the 32 bit target, also on iPhone 5S, see this thread:

Ok so on my machine, for whatever reason, the only architechture available is ARCHS_STANDARD. Editing this setting and adding your own doesn't work, and it won't "copy down" settings from the main line to the two under it (you'll see what I mean below).

Ok, thanks for sharing these tips; as you said, you are probably not the only one, so yes, your post will certainly be helpful to other developers as well.
