Is there any working Swift examples?

November 12, 2019 - 9:57am #1

Hello all,

What is the main difference between Apple CoreML Image Recognition and Vuforia Image Targets recognition ?

What are the pros and cons to use Vuforia for a simple application that have to recognise an object and tell what is it - something like Vivino.

Do you have any simple examples in SWIFT that we can quickly test against our own targets ?

I did some research regarding Apple CoreML and based on my understanding, CoreML recognizes objects inside of pictures.

Vuforia Image Target recognizes pictures (stored in db or cloud) and tracks them. More info here: https://library.vuforia.com/content/vuforia-library/en/articles/Training/Image-Target-Guide.html

Fundamentally this are 2 different technologies with different scopes.

We have core sample app for native iOS development. Link here: https://developer.vuforia.com/downloads/samples

Here a guide to get started with iOS developemtn: https://library.vuforia.com/articles/Solution/Getting-Started-with-Vuforia-for-iOS-Development.html

Thank you.
