How to get ImageTarget trackable name while scanning the target

Trackable Name

Hi

I know this thread is pretty old but I've spent several days, trying to figure out the same thing. Since there's absolutely no documentation on how to do this task, I thought that my solution might be helpful. What I found is that the name of the target being recognized can be gotten through the getName() function. The best place to catch the name of the target is in the renderFrameQCAR method inside ImageTargetsEAGLView class.

For ex, if you want to print the trakcable name to NSLog, you can do the following:

        NSLog(@"TRACKABLE-------------------------->");
        NSLog(@"%s", trackable.getName());
        NSLog(@"TRACKABLE-------------------------->");

I hope that this helps you or anyone else that is looking for an answer to this question.

Hi,

as you can see in this thread:

https://developer.vuforia.com/forum/ios/how-retrieve-targets-name-please-help

the  SDK API reference clearly documents the Trackable::getName() method (both in C++ and in Java).

So, it's not undocumented.
