I've noticed an issue when updating to the latest Qualcomm AR Unity extension for iOS 2.8.7. When I create a very simple scene with just ARCamera prefab and another camera with a RenderTexture assigned to it, the iPad video camera texture appears to pause and flicker back and forth between two frames. When I disable the rendertexture camera, the video looks fine, and when I reenable it, it goes back to the flickering pause in the video. Everything works fine if I don't use a camera with a RenderTexture. Camera's without a render texture work fine and Everything works fine in the editor. It does not work on the OS version 7.0.4 Model MF016LL/A iPad.
Is this a known issue? Is there a work around? The app that I'm working on requires rendering objects to a texture while also viewing the iPad's video camera.
Thank you for any help you can provide.
I have a similar problem (the background textures goes black) on Android devices with the last SDK (3.0.9), see here https://developer.vuforia.com/forum/unity-3-extension-technical-discussion/background-rendering-black-when-another-camera-renderte .
