Wide Area AR "WAAR" with QCAR ?

August 30, 2012 - 3:20am #1

Does QCAR remember the position of one card as you pan across  to  a 2nd or 3rd card positioned elsewhere  ?

I guess I've just been watching a few to many of the SonyVita Youtube clips where they utilise their "WAAR" card technique. (wide area augmentation)

Is a similar Target card scenario possible with QCAR ?

Thanks for the links....    I checked out UCS, looks promising.

I will venture deeper in UCS  once I get the hang of my APP.... as it is, I'm already snowballed down designing and learning to code etc..  :)

A simple scenario might be:

if I create a 3D snake that is 5m long... & place target cards every 1m.

Could  I then walk the length of the snake without the snake disappearing or breaking ?

I will give it a try & see what happens....

I changed the "Max simultaneous Image Targets " to 4 ....

Hi Mick

I think this should be possible if you increase the number of simultaneous targets to 2 or 3, because in each case they should provide you with a trackable, and hence a pose/matrix for each.  BTw The camera is always positioned at (0,0,0)
