Xcode 4.3.3, iOS 5.1 glError (0x501)after Dominoes renderFrame()

June 26, 2012 - 4:58am #1

In Xcode 4.3.2  everything QCAR sample worked perfectly on my iPad 2 with iOS 5.1

After I have installed Xcode 4.3.3, the objects don't render, and I see in console the following message

glError (0x501)after Dominoes renderFrame()

in this case, is Dominoes sample.

I have tried to run the Sample in Xcode 4.5, in Xcode 4.2.1, but I still get the same error.

Can anyone tell me where can the problem be and how could I solve it?

Thanks in advance!

I think I altered something in QCAR libs.

I went to the place where I stored untouched libs and samples and it workes perfectly!

The only moment when I tried to alter the .h files in "build" folder, is when I tried to combine Android and iOS .h files. I wroked for a week after that moment, cleared the builds and tried Worked in Xcode 4.2.1 and Xcode 4.3.2. That's why I wasn't thinking that here's the problem.

Probably I changed something that Xcode 4.3.3 doesn't like and "glError (0x501)" is very strange.

Anyway, it's good that everything works. Next time I'll combile/change .h files , I'll make sure that everything works.

Thanks for help!

Sorry to hear

Please keep me posted as I have not seen this before.

What is your iOS base sdk (normally latest) and what is your deployment target?

Does this happen on any of the other samples?

I've re-installed xcode 4.2.1, 4.3.3, updated iPad to 5.1.1 and I still get the same error.

I'll try to install on other system and other iPads, to see the results

Hi grossum

We just tested the Dominoes sample using Xcode 4.3.3 on iOS5.1 on a new iPad and could find no errors.

Not sure what the problem could be, but it might be worth cleaning the build + rebooting both device and Mac and seeing what happens.

Let me know how you get on.
