Bug with CameraDevice.Instance.Stop()

February 9, 2013 - 7:40pm #1

Vuforia SDK Version: latest -

Description with steps to reproduce: If application is frozen (using CameraDevice.Instance.Stop() and Start()) -> multitasking to home, then back into program: Freeze is automatically unfrozen for video, but tracking still frozen. Cycling freeze fixes this, but it would be nice if it works out of the box. -

Development OS (Mac OS X, Windows, Linux): Win 7 -

Mobile OS and Version: Android -

Mobile Device Manufacturer and Model name: Asus Transformer Prime -

Do the Vuforia Sample Applications show the same behavior?:

The tracking doesn't need to be restarted as I can freeze it myself in code, that is quite easy and incredibly fast. (just not update the transforms), but I just need to freeze the camera feed. That is the major issue I am having.

Edit: On second thought, I think it is better to restart the tracking anyway, because if the camera is not frozen, the tracking should work, otherwise the augmentations are not drawn correctly.

The camera needs to be restared on pause so that it's accessible to other apps. Are you asking for the tracking to be automatically restarted as well?
