Crash after lock, unlock device screen

Vuforia SDK Version: 5.0.5 -
Description with steps to reproduce:

1) Run sample app

2) Go "Image Targets"

3) Press "Start" button

4) Wait, video stream and target search starts

5) Lock iPhone screen

6) Unlock iPhone screen

7) Crash

iPhone4 iOS7.1.2.crash

iPhone4s iOS9.0.2.crash

-
Development OS (Mac OS X, Windows, Linux): Mac OS X -
Mobile OS and Version: iOS 7.1.2 & iOS 9.0.2 -
Mobile Device Manufacturer and Model name: iPhone4(iOS 7.1.2) iPhone4s(iOS 9.0.2) -
Do the Vuforia Sample Applications show the same behavior?: Yes, my app and the sample application have the same bahavior

Thank you very much for your help. I've updated the SDK to 5.0.6, and it worked fine on iOS 9 too.

Additional little tip:

Vuforia SDK 5.0.6 has just been released;  so, you may also want to try the Vuforia Samples from that version, apply the same "patch" i.e. removing the call to finishOpenGLESCommands in applicationWillResignActive and verify if the issue is still there.

Hi,

If the code you are running is the VuforiaSamples without any specific code to your project, could you zip and post here the content of your VuforiaSamples/VuforiaSamples directory (no need for the project file nor media or build directories).

IMPORTANT: Refrain to post the zip file if you've made any change specific to your project.

Yes, in iOS7.1.2 this fix works, but in iOS9.0.2 it still crashes

The fix described by Alessandro works for us and should fix your issue. Could you attach to this thread the crash log after you did this fix?

I followed your instructions, but app the app still crashes

Could the problem be that i use iOS SDK9 ?

locate the applicationWillResignActive in your App Delegate mm file, and remove (or comment out) the call to:

// [self.glResourceHandler finishOpenGLESCommands];

Could you try the following:

locate the applicationWillResignActive in your App Delegate mm file, and remove (or comment out) the call to

finishOpenGLESCommands
