Dark camera on Vuforia 7

Vuforia SDK Version: 7.1.27

Description with steps to reproduce: I am using Vuforia 7 with Unity 2018.1 making an app for Android 7. And I have a problem with the camera, it is extremely dark. In comparison, the camera in normal mode (photo or video) is much lighter. Apparently, this problem was not fixed in version 6.2.10 as it was reported a couple of times. Can I expect a fix for that? What additional info can I provide to help?

Development OS (Mac OS X, Windows, Linux): Windows 10

Mobile OS and Version: Android 7

Mobile Device Manufacturer and Model name: Lenovo P2

Do the Vuforia Sample Applications show the same behavior?: Yes. Even simple AR Camera without any additional objects shows the same result.

Same issue on Mi Max with Android 7.0. This makes AR useless and I'm unable to launch the app because of this. Please check the attached image of Vuforia camera and native camera app.
