Feature points are gone after changing mixedrealitycontroller mo

April 1, 2016 - 12:24am #1

Vuforia SDK Version: 5.5.9 -

Description with steps to reproduce:

I am using vuforia 5.5 to create a stereo VR view in a project that uses cloudrecognition. The app is first started with None selected as the Eyewear type in ARCamera. The mode is later changed in code using:

MixedRealityController.Instance.SetMode(MixedRealityController.Mode.ROTATIONAL_HANDHELD_AR);

or if VR mode is chosen:

foreach (IViewerParameters vp in viewerParameters) {
            if (vp.GetName ().Equals ("Generic Cardboard")) {
                MixedRealityController.Instance.SetViewerParameters (vp);
            }
        }

MixedRealityController.Instance.SetMode(MixedRealityController.Mode.ROTATIONAL_VIEWER_AR);

After returning from these modes back with:

MixedRealityController.Instance.SetMode(MixedRealityController.Mode.HANDHELD_AR);

The cloudreco feature points and scanline are gone. However the cloud based tracking still works, just the visual representation is gone. When changing the mode the cloudreco is disabled using:

TrackerManager.Instance.GetTracker<ObjectTracker> ().TargetFinder.Stop ();
            cloudRecoBehaviour.CloudRecoEnabled = false;

And then enabled after returning with:

TrackerManager.Instance.GetTracker<ObjectTracker> ().TargetFinder.StartRecognition ();
            cloudRecoBehaviour.CloudRecoEnabled = true;

I also tried to Deinit the targetfinder and then reinitializing it with no luck. The scanline and feature points are working fine until the mixedrealitycontroller mode is changed.

Thanks for any help.

Do the Vuforia Sample Applications show the same behavior?: I haven't seen a sample with couldreco and stereo mode, so I guess not.
