Multiple (2) copy of same Image Target at same time

January 8, 2013 - 8:46am #1

Hello,

I would like to ask if it is somehow  possible to have same Image Target registered in single scene (think of it as an independent copy of same object).

My situation is that I have one Image target of about A3 size and 2 smaller identical image targets (about A5 size) laying on top of big one. I need to display 2 identical objects over small targets and move them independently. While still registering them as an independent thus preserving found and lost property.

It is of high importance and priority for me.

If there is some hack or workaround how to solve this I would appreciate any help.

(I'm not sure if I posted in correct forum)

Thank You.

Hi,

thank you for this great tool. I actualy solved my problem this way (you are free to extend vuforia package based on this):

  1. create multiple Image Targets with same source image and same dimmensions
  2. put them all to scene
  3. done

As future enhancement of tracking capabilities I would suggest mode with array of same image targets that can be assigned to. I mean by creating virtual copy of same tracking data just managing their visibility and occupance on screen by clever caching in code instead putting them to scene all at once.

I already got idea how to explore this feature/issue/bug. :)

Consider this solved ;)

Thanks.
