Target Manager needs a few features

January 8, 2015 - 12:05pm #1

I'm not sure where to put this, but I figure whlie you are releasing Vuforia 4.0 you might want to make some additions to the target manager.  When you have dozens of targets, it becomes a real pain to manage the databse on the web tool.  A few simple additions could help.

* Can we pleeeeeease have the ability to delete resources from the list of targets, instead of having to click on each one and delete?  Basically if we could check the check box next to the targets we want to delete, and then click a delete button (with a confirm) that woudl be great

* Can you allow us to edit the target size when we view a target?  Once you set the target size upon upload of the imagetarget, there's no way to change it.  Even if you re-upload the image, it doesn't ask for the size.  I'd like to be able to edit the size after the fact.

The option to delete multiple targets from Device DBs has been added in Vuforia 4.x. You can try out the new feature at our Beta Portal:

Although resizing a target is not a feature of the Target Manager, you can change the dimension values of your Device DB targets once they are downloaded via the XML as long as you keep the aspect ratio intact. You might also be interested to read this FAQ about defining target sizes:

Cloud DB targets can be resized using the VWS API:
