Vuforia SDK Version: 4.2 -
Description with steps to reproduce:
Not sure if this is a bug or just something we have to deal with. When working with TextRcognition and certain fabric patterns the following issues occur:
1. Plaid shirts (No text or writing on it) causes random words and non-words to be tracked. My guess is the camera is pulling out letter patterns in the plaid. Since the lines are vertical and horizontal. Common letters include: "i", "L", "U", and "T".
2. A possible solution is to ship or provide a mirror/reflector for PC/MAC built in cameras. That way the camera projection is reading down at an angle first straight ahead. Now that we can debug/test our AR apps in Unity3D this becomes an issue for certain application types like spelling games, etc.
Like I said not really a bug, just a minor inconvenience and nothing to beat one's head over. This might be particularly problematic for eye wearables.
