Unable to download targets created in the website

March 17, 2013 - 7:34pm #1

Vuforia SDK Version: None -

Description with steps to reproduce: Hello everyone. I have an AR project and decided to use Vuforia, but I encountered a problem.

I have successfully uploaded an image, it got processed and received 3 star rating. Its not perfect, but its OK for the testing purposes I need.

When I try to download the targets there is a problem. It says "Creating database for the selected targets. This may take sometime, please wait.".

I have waited for more than 4 hours and still no change. Tried with Unity Editor export format and the SDK format. Same with both formats.

Am I doing something wrong or there is a problem with the service?

Thanks. -

Do the Vuforia Sample Applications show the same behavior?:

My problem might be different, no blank in the name of database. After target is created succesfully, i check the target i want to download. The button "download selected target " remans to be gray, and of course no response after clicked, IE 8 Browser, does anyone share the same problems?

Ok, thanks for the feedback. So, for now just avoid putting blank spaces in your DB name

(perhaps in the future this might be changed).

Hi,

It wasn't a temporary server error. I just realized whats the problem. Having a space character in the target database triggers the problem.

I have a database called "My DB" and when I try to download a target from it the default name is "My DB.unitypackage". I just tried to change it to "test" and the download started within few seconds.

You should check whats wrong in having a space character in the database name.

I hope this info helps.

Best Regards

trojaneca,

does your database name contains special character ? if that's the case, that might explain the issue you are seeing.

can you paste the DB name here ?

Hi trojaneca,

Could you please try again, in case there was a intermittent server error?

I just tried downloading a device database in native and Unity and it came through without any problem.

thanks
