Vuforia to 3D Library Integration

June 5, 2015 - 6:34am #1

Vuforia SDK Version: 4.0 -

Description with steps to reproduce:

Hi,

I’m working on a project to view 3D objects using JPCT-AE library through Vuforia v4.0 Cloud Recognition service. When executing the project, I get the error: “Called unimplemented OpenGL ES API." What would be the solution for this?
How can I run JPCT-AE library on Vuforia v4.X?

Or is there any other library to visualize 3D objects through cloud recognition service on Vuforia version 4.X?

Do the Vuforia Sample Applications show the same behavior?:

Vuforia relies on plain OpenGL ES 2.0, and the Vuforia Samples show how you can render 3D meshes in OpenGL.

I think if you search the Forum you may find some old threads of developers who have successfully integrated JPCT-AE or other custom / 3rd party rendering libraries with Vuforia, however this is not an officially supported use case.

Alternatively you can use Unity3D and the Vuforia Unity Extension.
