Vuforia SDK Version: 3.0.9 -
Description with steps to reproduce:
I'm using Unity and have begun to optimize this project. To my surprise, when I pulled up the profiler, I found that Vuforia is allocating 0.9 MB of garbage EVERY FRAME. This triggers a garbage collection about every 4 frames, which is an awful lot of stuttering. Is this expected? Are there any plans to fix this in future versions? Are there any settings or techniques I can use to minimize these allocations?
I checked on two different projects and both had this issue.
- Development OS (Mac OS X, Windows, Linux): OS X 10.9 - Mobile OS and Version: iOS 7.0.4 - Mobile Device Manufacturer and Model name: iPad 4 - Do the Vuforia Sample Applications show the same behavior?: Yes
Way too much GC allocation?
Do you see any stutter or considerably low frame rate when running any of the Vuforia samples ?
In our tests, performance on iPad 4 are generally good with Vuforia.
Way too much GC allocation?
If you fix this ,or have any other way to cross this ,please send me a message ,I`ll very appreciate.
