Vuforia apps & licensing questions

June 1, 2016 - 3:35am #1

Hi to all,

Before to write to Vuforia sales team I would like to know if there is someone who already purchased license with Vuforia.

In my mid-term projects I hope to develop a few Unity/Vuforia apps to publish on Android/Apple stores. These apps will be freely downloadable but my customers (and customers of my customers) only can access to AR contents via cloud db too.

These apps, in according with Vuforia agreement, are considered Internal Use or not? The right licence is Cloud or Custom?

If I develop a AR app with device db to share with my customer (then not visible on stores) I can use the Starter licence or I must purchase a Classic or a Custom in this case too?

The target number limit (not recos) is for single db (device or cloud) or for all db?

Many thanks.

Thanks for your questions, let's see if I can help clarify what licensing is appropriate for your projects.

1) For applications published to Android/Apple app stores, generally the plans available online at http://developer.vuforia.com/pricing will suffice. However, there are some separate cases for apps deployed to the app store but restricted to usage by specific users. I have direct messaged you a few questions to better understand your use case.

2) If you develop an AR app using the device database but share it with a client for internal use (not visible on app stores) you must use our Internal Use license. I have provided details in my direct message.

3) The image target limit is for a single database - no limits on the device database, but be sure to test on the devices you intend to use.

Hello,

Two days and no reply, only views.

My questions aren't about how much costs the license but in which type can drop my app scenarios and before to send a email to sales team I woudl like to know your experience about this.

What's the scope of this forum's section?

Many thanks, I hope to receive some reply.
