I've attached an image displaying my guide alignment.
I know having a single color isn't recommended, but the model targets in unity tutorial displayed it working with a grey mono-colored model. The lander model is more detailed and has more contours than mine however. But looking at my screenshot, i'm surprised that vuforia can't distinguish my model from the background. Is this because the digital model doesn't have enough distinguishing features, and if so, could that be something that the Model Target Generator reports? It might be giving me the false hope that my model will work.
I'll try painting the model to see if it will make the surfaces more distinguishable.

Hi,
I just printed a 4x3x3.5cm scale model of the lunar model and it also did not get detected. Unfortunately the company i order my models from only print with white plastics, but i was still hopeful that i could use a unicolor model since in the example tutorial/guide it shows a grey model being used successfully. This also depicts a unicolor model being used: https://developer.vuforia.com/sites/default/files/2018-01-17_16-00-11.gif
Maybe the small scale of the model is too difficult for the phone / the focus of the camera might be too blurry when trying to view something of that small scale.
I'm testing on an iPhone 6. If anyone had success with the lunar model at small dimensions, or any model at small dimensions and single color, i'd be interested to hear about it.
thank you.
