Advanced model target

June 24, 2021 - 12:27am #1

Hi ,

We are testing vuforia engine for an application for museum statues. We decided to use advance model target for this purpose. For beginning we used a car model for training and used the trained database with test app (provided by vuforia ) , it works perfect . but when we use that same data base with in a simple unity app (with just an ARcamera and one Model Target object with advanced data base ) the recognition does not work.

We are using unity2019.4 with vuforia engine 8.5.9. We also have used free development license key. (Our unity app works with standard model data base , the problem is with advanced model data base . First we thought there was a problem with our trained data base , but we checked it with test app and it works)

Hello,

I suspect that you need to check your setting in the new project. Because when the modelTarget is working in the test MT app then it should work in your Unity app when all setting are ok.

Please, check the setting according to the article :Working with the HoloLens Sample in Unity  There you can find the info how to use the example or how to setup a new scene.

But I think the best /easiest approach will be to create a new project, to load the HoloLens Assets  and  to open the scene   Assets\SampleResources\Scenes\2-ModelTargets

First you can check the functionality how it works / OK to get a modelTarget and test it you need to play $5 deposit casino canada  which requires 3D game . If you do not have this option you can still simple test if the demo app could be ported to HoloLens device and if it works and  you could select the Advance or the guided model targets.

As next you could replace the Model Target Database with your own and adapt the project

Best Regards

For further databases and modelTargets you could duplicate some of the objects.

Should work on Unity as well.

First you can check the functionality how it works / OK to get a modelTarget and test it you need to print and assemble the Viking Lander which requires 3D printer . If you do not have this option you can still simple test if the demo app could be ported to HoloLens device and if it works and  you could select the Advance or the guided model targets.

As next you could replace the Model Target Database with your own and adapt the project
